On March 2016, the LIFAN X50 engines (two models: manual transmission and CVT) were successfully localized in KPT according to customer expectations and ISO/TS 16949 requirements. The X50 engine localization project was started on August 2015 in a close collaboration with LIFAN, Kerman Motor Company, and Arman Motor Company and through a comprehensive technical teamwork effort was successfully finished on March 2016. This project conforms to Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade new policy of increasing localization level of car manufacturing in the country. It worths mentioning that LIFAN X50, a new compact crossover car, was first introduced in Iran market by Kerman Motor Co. in 2015.
